TAMAN UJUNG - BALI
Parks Sukasada now better known as the Park is situated in the hamlet of Karangasem Edge End, Tumbu village, Karangasem district, Karangasem regency. The park is located about 5 km south-east of the city Amlapura. The gardens were built by the King of Karangasem: I Gusti Bagus Jelantik who holds Anak Agung Ketut Agung Karangasem Anglurah perfectly with the concept of a pride of Karangasem as initially has an almost 400 acres, but now only about 10 acres as the land has been distributed to most of the public during the land reform. Taman Ujung Ownership has now been passed on to the heirs of the family Puri Karangasem so that the status of a private garden but visitors are generally allowed to visit this garden looks magnificent.
Taman Ujung which is one of Bali's masterpiece was built in 1909 by the initiative of the King of Karangasem Anak Agung Ketut Karangasem Anglurah involving Dutch architect named Van Den Hentz and a Chinese architecture named Loto Ang. Development Taman Ujung also involve architecture (undagi) traditional and received instructions from Mr. Wardodjojo a technician from the Department of Public Works. Taman Ujung Swimming Dirah actually a development that has been built earlier in 1901.
Taman Ujung construction completed in 1921, but construction work is still being continued. Precisely in 1937, Sukasada Park (Taman Ujung) Karangasem inaugurated with a 'mahligya' is marked by a marble stone inscription written with Latin letters and Bali by using two languages Indonesian and Balinese. The inscription was placed on one of the walls in the Bale Warak.
